I know I am supposed to ask if you are bonded
and insured. But what does that mean, exactly?
Yes, we are fully bonded and insured. Bonding refers to the protection
afforded to the customer if an employee steals from the customer (it’s
never happened yet). Insured means that our employees carry liability coverage
for personal injuries and property damage, as well as workers' compensation insurance. Basically
this means that if anything is stolen, broken or an employee is injured in your
office we will cover the costs. Again, just so you know, we have never had any
problems with such things.
What about security?
All our employees are carefully selected, fully trained professionals. At
All Shining Cleaning we understand that your trust and satisfaction depends in
part on the security you feel using our staff. We maintain close supervision
and work to ensure that the highest levels of professionalism are always maintained.
Will you do the kitchens and bathrooms as well?
Yes, your office includes bathrooms and break rooms, and we will clean everything
from the toilets to the coffee pot.
What if we aren’t satisfied with a cleaning?
We provide a 24-hour guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the job,
we will return within 24 hours to make it right.
Do you bring your own cleaning supplies?
Yes, we do. We bring everything we need to clean everything you need cleaned.
Do we have to sign a contract?
We have something we call a service agreement. It isn’t a contract. We
are confident in our ability to provide quality service every time we clean. You
are free to cancel your regularly scheduled cleaning at any time.
What times do you work? Are you available
early mornings or late nights?
We understand that you are in business during the day. We
can come in the morning, at nights, or on the weekend
to clean your office while you are not there. We
will work with your schedule, not ours.
I have highly sensitive documents pertaining to finances in my office. Will
my personal files remain private?
Our staff is experienced, trained professionals who respect your privacy. They
are there to do their job, just as you do yours.
Can you clean my computer and electronic equipment?
We understand that your computers and electronic equipment
are essential to your business.
We know the proper methods for cleaning most electronics
and will treat them with care.
Residential/Housekeeping FAQ
Whose cleaning equipment and cleaning products
will be used? We will arrive with
all the cleaning equipment and supplies necessary to
clean your home or office. The cost of cleaning
supplies is already figured in the cost of our service. If
you would like a special cleaner used, we will be happy
to use any specific cleaners you provide for us. We
also have alternative cleaners available if you have
allergies to specific cleaning solutions.
How do you keep track of what I want cleaned? We
will work to create a custom checklist for
your home. The checklist will include any specific
instructions you may have as well as instructions on
when each area should be cleaned (i.e. every visit,
every other visit, once a month, etc.).
Will I need to sign a contract?
We call it a service agreement. We are confident in our ability to provide quality
service every time we clean. You are free to cancel your regularly scheduled
cleaning at any time.
What if I am not satisfied with the cleaning?
No problem. We provide a 24 hour guarantee: If
you are not completely satisfied with your cleaning,
we will return within 24 hours and clean the problem
area(s) no questions asked.
What do I do with my pets? All Shining
Cleaning housekeepers love pets, as long as the pets feel the same way. After
all, they are part of the family. We ask only that you introduce us to
your pets on the first few visits so that your pets become accustomed to us
and vice-versa.
I'm concerned about my valuables. What steps do you take
against theft in my home? Because we are family-owned
and run, we employ only a few cleaners all of whom we have known for many years. Any
new employees are screened carefully and must accompany one of our professional
cleaners on all jobs for a two-week trial period. Only after we feel
completely secure of a trainee's integrity will we introduce a new housekeeper
into our company.
I feel uncomfortable letting a stranger clean my home. So
would we. That's why we encourage you to get to know us. Our All
Shining Cleaning family will be a frequent visitor to your home for many years
to come. Feel free to stay home and supervise our work. Talk to
us. We like to socialize. Let our family get to know yours, and
you won't feel like we're strangers for long.
If I choose to give my maid a key how is it handled? Your
key is checked into a secure cabinet every night. Your key will never
be available to anyone else--even a temporary housekeeper--without your express
permission. We never make copies and your key is labeled only with general
information (such as street name or apartment complex). It is never
labeled with a house number or more specific information, so that even in the
rare event that a key is lost, the key would not be easy for others to use.
What if I have an alarm system? If you wish
your housekeeper to know the alarm code, we will naturally keep it in the strictest
of confidence. All of our cleaners are well versed in using alarm systems. As
an alternative, you can simply choose not to set the alarm when you know the
cleaner is coming.
